The Sims 4 Get To Work Cheats

Master Get to Work with the help of cheats!

The Get To Work expansion pack may be the oldest expansion pack for The Sims 4 but it still stands the test of time! With three new active careers, a new occult type, and a fleshed out retail system, there is plenty of content for Simmers to explore and enjoy! Although, you can speed up your progress in this expansion pack with the help of some Sims 4 cheats!

So we’re going to break down all the cheats available in The Sims 4 Get To Work ! We’d also like to thank our good friend Carl over at Carl’s Sims 4 Guide for providing some of the info in this article!

Activate Sims 4 Cheats

To use most of the following Sims 4 cheat codes, you will first need to activate cheats! Here’s how to do that on all platforms!

• Open the cheat bar by pressing the CTRL+SHIFT+C keys simultaneously.
• Type in testingcheats true
• Press Enter to activate the cheat.
• Hit CTRL+SHIFT+C again to get rid of the cheat bar.

All cheat codes listed in this article are activated in the same way.

• Open the cheat bar by pressing all four back triggers simultaneously
• Confirm that you wish to activate this cheat with X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Activating this cheat will permanently disable trophies/achievements on that save, so make sure you are okay with this!
• Hit all four back triggers again to get rid of the cheat bar

Career Cheats

Get To Work comes with three new careers; Doctor, Scientist, and Detective. Because these are active careers, these jobs do not have differing specialty branches. Of course, there are Sims 4 cheats to speed your way to the top of these careers or go back down a level.

• careers.promote adult_active_scientist – Give your Scientist Sim a promotion
• careers.demote adult_active_scientist – Give your Scientist Sim a demotion
• careers.promote detective – Give your Detective Sim a promotion
• careers.demote detective – Give your Detective Sim a demotion
• careers.promote doctor – Give your Doctor Sim a promotion
• careers.demote doctor – Give your Doctor Sim a demotion

Sims 4 Cheats: Skills

Originally, Get To Work added two new skills to The Sims 4; Baking and Photography. Later, Photography became a base game skill, so technically, Get To Work only comes with the Baking skill now. Don’t worry; we still have the Photography skill Sims 4 cheat for you!

Baking is a major 10-level skill, so replace X with a number between 1-10. Photography is a minor 5-level skill, so replace X with a number between 1-5. The number you specify will set the skill to that level.

• stats.set_skill_level major_baking X – Set your Baking skill level (1-10)
• stats.set_skill_level minor_photography X – Set your Photography skill level (1-5)

You can also use these Sims 4 cheats to lower your Sim’s skill level if you want to. Just replace X with any number that is lower than your Sim’s current skill level.

Retail Perk Cheats

If you own a retail business in The Sims 4 Get To Work, you’ll want to gain retail perks that will help you run your business more efficiently. Obviously, earning retail perks ordinarily requires a lot of time and effort. Why not cheat your way to success, instead, with the following Sims 4 cheats?

Trait Cheats

The Sims 4 Get To Work does not come with any new CAS or aspiration traits but it does come with a hidden career reward trait! The Sickness Resistance trait is gained by reaching level 8 in the Doctor career. This trait makes your Sim less likely to get sick and if they do get sick, they recover much faster than other Sims. If you want the trait without having to become a Doctor, there are Sims 4 cheats for it.

Also, for console players, trait cheats can be used without enabling testingcheats. This means these cheats won’t disable your trophies or achievements.

• traits.equip_trait Trait_Doctor_SicknessResistant – Gives your Sim the Sickness Resistance trait
• traits.remove_trait Trait_Doctor_SicknessResistant – Removes the Sickness Resistance trait from your Sim

Sims 4 Cheats for Aliens

If you want your Sim to be abducted by aliens, the base chances are slim. The best way to improve the odds is by joining the Scientist career and discovering inventions that will attract aliens to your lot. Although, if you don’t want to become a Scientist to get abducted, the following Sims 4 cheat will allow you to purchase these inventions from the secret Build/Buy catalogue.

Console players will be happy to know that the following cheat does not require them to enable testingcheats. This means that using this cheat will not disable their trophies or achievements.

• bb.showhiddenobjects – Unlocks hidden items in the Build/Buy catalogue

With this Sims 4 cheat active, search Build/Buy for the following objects and place them on your lot:

• Out of this World Desktop
• Satellite Dish

Obviously, both of these objects increase your odds of abduction each night. Select the Satellite Dish and choose Contact Aliens. The dish will send out a signal to attract aliens to your home lot. The effect only lasts for 24 hours so make sure to keep doing this daily until your Sim gets abducted.

Cheat with Logic!

You can also increase your odds of abduction by using the Search for The Truth interaction on a telescope or observatory. This interaction is only unlocked at level 7 of the Logic skill, so here is the Sims 4 cheat to raise your Logic skill to the required level.

• stats.set_skill_level major_Logic 7 – Raises the Logic skill to level 7 which unlocks the Search for the Truth interaction on telescopes and the observatory.

Nevertheless, remember! These cheats only increase your odds of abduction! They do not guarantee it. You could have bad luck and not be abducted for quite a while even while using these methods to increase the odds. Also, even if your Sim does get abducted, there’s no guarantee they will return pregnant with an alien. Only male Sims can return from an abduction pregnant with an alien baby. Moreover, According to Carl , there is only a 25% chance that any abduction of a male Sim will result in an alien pregnancy. So if these Sims 4 cheats aren’t working, just keep trying!

The Sims 4 Career Cheats

Getting promotions and unlocking career items.

Cheating your Career in The Sims 4 may help you to avoid the repetition of going through the same career track again and again. It's also possible to unlock items in buy mode that are restricted to Sims who have achieved a particular career level. Here's a guide to cheating every career in The Sims 4:

Getting Started: Open the Console

Press Control + Shift + C on your keyboard to open the comamnd line - type testingcheats on to ensure any cheat that you use will work (some require this). After you hit enter, this can be closed pressing control shift C again or hitting Esc when it is in focus.

Unlock Buy Mode Objects

bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement (Ignore Gameplay Unlocks Entitlement all run together) will take the requirements off build/buy items such as high-end easels, computers, and career-specific furniture that cannot be purchased without having a high level in a career. These items are typically given free when a Sim is promoted in a given career (found in the family inventory) but can be purchased (usually for a premium price).

Career Cheats

Type careers.promote x replacing x with the career of your choice. You can also hit up on the keyboard after you hit enter, and re-enter it a second time quickly. This is how you can go up multiple levels without re-typing it.

Younger Sims' schooling counts as a career for the purposes of cheating. Raise a Sim's grades with careers.promote gradeschool or careers.promote highschool . You can lower them as well with careers.demote gradeschool/highschool . If you have the Seasons Expansion , you can promote your child in the Scouting career as well, with careers.promote_scout . Players with Get Famous may try careers.promote dramaclub to raise their little one's rank in the new Drama Club feature.

How to Do Homework in The Sims 4 — Pass Your Academics

In The Sims 4, you can experience the life you’ve always wanted. As long as that life includes completing homework for your child and / or teen sims. If you want to make doubly sure your offspring are on the fast-track for success, you’ll want to make triply sure they’re completing their weekly homework.

How to Do Homework in The Sims 4

So, you’re the proud parent of a little simlish bundle of joy … or two … or three . Each weekday — Monday to Friday — your child or teen sim will have homework after school. You’ll find it in their inventory, and if you select it from there, it will give you the option to complete the homework.

It is also an option to have an adult help them with their homework by clicking on the adult, selecting the child or teen sim, and then clicking on the HELP WITH HOMEWORK option. Either of these options will help to preserve their school performance and give them a wealth of knowledge and experience.

How do you do the homework cheats in the sims 4.

Players everywhere would like to know if there’s a cheat — or several — to make doing homework easier in The Sims 4: Discovery University expansion pack. If such cheats existed, they’d certainly make the process of sending your adult sims to higher learning a lot sim -pler. Well, we have good news! They do exist!

If you want to make this incredibly challenging expansion pack a bit easier, you’ll first need to enable the testingcheats true cheat . Access the cheats console by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C on your PC or Mac. Input the string of text next to the cheat you’d like to activate, then press ENTER to activate it !

How do you take your final exam in The Sims 4?

If you have an adult sim taking university courses, you can have them take the final exam by attending the last day of class. It should be noted, however, that it appears a bug exists that prevents players from having their sim take the final exam. As of writing, no official source has confirmed nor denied this bug’s existence nor have they confirmed or denied that a patch fix has been implemented.

Sims 4 Careers Cheats – Want To Skip All The Hard Work?

We’ve all dabbled in The Sims before, right? If not, now is a perfect time. These Sims 4 Career s Cheats will help jumpstart any save you’ve got so you can get stuck into whatever Sim-related mischief you fancy!

Cheating is all well and good in The Sims 4 , but you need to know where to put the sims 4 cheats in, right? Well, opening the command console isn’t too complicated at all. All you need to do is press CTR, SHIFT, and C to toggle it on or off. Then, once you’ve typed in the cheat… You just hit enter. Easy peasy. 

If you’re playing on a console, pressing all four shoulder buttons simultaneously will also toggle the console on or off.

Before you get stuck in though, it’s worth noting that for a lot of these, you’ll need to have Testing Cheats on, otherwise they won’t work. All you have to do for this is type testingcheats on into the command console. To disable this, you type testingcheats off into the console instead. 

If you’re having trouble with this, ‘testingcheats 1’, ‘testingcheats true’, and ‘testingcheats yes’ all appear to  work as well.

Anything work related can be changed with these codes, giving you complete control of your professional life.

How to enable The Sims 4 career cheats

You’ll need to open the cheat console to enable career cheats in The Sims 4. How, depends on what you're playing on: 

• The Sims 4 PC cheats: Hold Ctrl and Shift, then press c
• The Sims 4 Mac cheats: Hold Command (⌘) and Shift, then press c
• The Sims 4 PS4 cheats: Hold down all the four shoulder buttons at once
• The Sims 4 Xbox One cheats: Hold down all four shoulder buttons at once

Activate the cheats and a text box will appear across the top of the The Sims 4 screen where you can enter your cheat code.

The Sims 4 career cheats

To use The Sims 4 career cheats to give yourself a promotion simply click the sim you want to change and enter careers.promote in the cheat console, followed by the name of the career you want to advance. You must have actually started this career first though. Each time you use this, you’ll advance a level so you can even keep repeating this cheat until you reach the top.

You can also use the cheats below and replace promote with demote , if you want to take your Sim down a few pegs. Once you’ve enabled cheats, you must type testingCheats true into the console and then use any of the relevant cheats below.

While playing The Sims 4 , your Sims can join a wide variety of careers. In both the base game and with expansion packs, the working world is at your fingertips. Once your Sim has a job, they can increase skills and do work-related tasks in order to earn a promotion.

While this is the simple and moral way to progress in a career, you can also use a variety of cheats to make your way to the top of a career path. In this guide, we are going to take a look at these cheats and how to use them. First, let's look at how to enable cheats in The Sims 4.

To use career cheats, you will first need to enable cheats on your platform. Below, you can check out how to do so.

After performing the appropriate action, a white command bar should appear on your screen. From here, type the following.

• " testingcheats on " or " testingcheats true "

Once this is done, cheats are enabled! You will now be able to use cheats in the game, as well as view an extended menu when shift-clicking on Sims.

Each career in the game has an associated 'cheat name', which is what you will type in to specify the job. These names are pretty simple, however, it's important to pay attention to spacing and capital letters; they need to match exactly, or the cheat won't work.

Below, you can check out the career names used in cheats.

Getting a job is simple; you can do it straight from your phone. Once you have a job, you can use a simple cheat to earn a promotion.

• careers.promote [CareerName]

By using this, you will advance one level in your career regardless if you meet the qualifications or not. Let's take a look at the Athlete career as an example. If you wanted an instant promotion, you would type in the following to the command bar.

• careers.promote Athlete

This also works for part-time jobs. Although there aren't typical levels in a part-time job, you will be able to increase your pay.

While it's easy to get a job and quit , there are still some cheats that can do this as well. Below, you can see the cheats used to do both.

Lastly, let's take a look at how to retire using cheats. When your Sim becomes an elder, they may gain the ability to retire, earning their base pay each day. To force this retiring process, you can use the following cheat.

• careers.retire [CareerName]

Sometimes, the retire option is bugged and doesn't appear on your Sim's phone. If this is the case, the cheat above will still work.

Homework in The Sims 4 is a necessary evil and a part of everyday life for most people IRL so it makes sense that it would be inside a life simulation game. From the time your sims turn into children until they’ve graduated University they are going to be doing homework and it will take up a significant part of their lives.

There are actually a few hacks you should know to get your sims to have more fun when doing homework, get it done quicker, and just generally finish it in a timely fashion that will make you a better sims player.

How to Do Homework for Children

When a sim’s kid returns from their long day at school they are going to have a little orange book inside of their inventory which is their homework. This should be completed before they attend school again which is usually the next day unless it’s the weekend.

You can get your sims to start doing their homework by clicking on the homework book in their inventory and choosing do homework . Your sims will find the nearest place to sit (even on the ground) to start working on their homework and will work until they are finished unless they are interrupted by low needs or an event trigger like a fire.

Any adult can come over to this sim while they are doing their homework and you can choose help with homework which will get the adult involved and sitting with the child and they will get their homework done much quicker.

There is even a system for sims kids (not teens) where if your kid gets all of the four children skills to level 3 they’ll have the option to breeze through homework instead of do homework and this will get the job done quicker.

Getting these skills all to level 7 will give them the option to dominate homework which will get it done even more quickly. This is a nice hack to really finish it without it being a huge part of their day.

Once a child has finished their homework, if they have a B or higher in school, they actually have the option to do extra credit after they’ve finished their regular homework. This is good for you if you want to get your sims to increase their school performance.

If you ever find your sims without a homework book in their inventory and you have no idea where it could be you can actually purchase these for one simoleon on any book case!

How to Do Homework for Teens

Homework works pretty much the same way for teens except their homework book is a nice blue colour instead of the orange that kids get. To get them to work on their homework you’ll get them to go into their inventory and click on it and choose do homework and they will start working on it.

They too have the option to have an adult sim to help with homework by getting that sim to click on them when they’ve started their homework and getting them to assist to make it go more quickly.

Once a teenager has a B in school they have the option to do extra credit after they’ve finished their regular homework. This will help them increase their school performance and get to an A as soon as possible.

Bonus Tip: Use the earbuds from The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff Pack when doing homework to keep your sims fun need up so they aren’t feeling tense when they’re done working on it.

School Projects

With The Sims 4: Parenthood there’s a pretty decent chance each week that your sims kids will come home with a school project that they can decide to complete for a boost to their grades. If they don’t complete it within a few days they may get a small decrease to their school grades but it’s not substantial.

These projects come home with your sims in their inventory and are rather easy to complete. They have the option to work on it either carefully or sloppily. Choosing sloppily will get the job done quicker, however, you won’t see a huge increase to their grades but you also won’t see a decrease.

The better option is to work carefully so your sims can improve their school grades. While they are working on these projects they’ll actually gain a skill depending on the type of homework they are working on. For sims kids they’ll be skills like mental, creativity, etc. but for teenagers it’ll be more specific like rocket science or painting .

One awesome thing is that you can get other sims to assist in the project up to 3 sims so you can get these projects done extremely quickly and if an adult sim who has a high skill in the project type assists it’ll go so quickly.

Working on these will also increase your sim’s kids’ responsibility character value which is awesome but failing to complete it will negativity impact this.

How to Do Homework in University

With the 2019 addition of The Sims 4: Discover University we have a whole new type of homework for your sims to have to work on. These homework books are going to be a black and white composite notebook that will appear in your sims inventory when they enroll in their first semester of university.

Each time your sim goes to a class they are going to need to do their homework before they attend that class if they want to get a good grade, meaning that if you’re taking multiple classes your sim will be needing to do homework multiple times per week.

To get this University homework done you’ll want to click on the homework book and choose which class’ homework you actually want to work on and get started. You don’t have to do it all in one sitting so you can start and stop as many times as you want.

An awesome detail about University homework is that if your sims have a high level of the research and debate skill they’ll actually breeze through their homework much more quickly. You can also add the study spot lot trait to your sim’s lot to make it easier.

Final Thoughts

Homework is something you can’t avoid if you want your sims to do well in school when they’re young, but there’s no need to stress about it. Sims grades won’t affect their later days work performance or the overall success in their life, so no worries if you don’t get it done. Happy Playing!

It do work!

Doing a 4 course in sims 4 is a real tedious chore. It will consume all your sims time and you won’t have time to do anything else. They did this way worse than sims 3 university.

There are a few tricks mind you! First of all you can be at home instead, makes it all much easier and you can(like mentioned above) add the “study spot” trait to your home.

The next trick is using the club! Make sure, if you go to the university, add everyone you see to your club. Focus on getting “Rally the Troops” perk. That will allow you to get back all your energy and other needs quickly whenever you want. There is no cooldown on this. It requires 500 points so it’s not bad at all. Just make sure the gathering is on at all times(which it should be since you most likely won’t be leaving the lot). The homework perk does not work for university.

EA could easily have fixed this by reducing the homework time from 2 hours to 1 hours imo. They made it too much of a chore. It’s a GAME after all.

But that’s the whole challenge bruh

How to do homework in The Sims 4 High School Years

Your teen Sim doesn’t have to do homework, but they should sometimes

In The Sims 4 ’s new expansion, High School Years , your teen Sims can head out to school the same way some Sims head to work. You can go with them to control what they do throughout the school day, affecting their relationships and academic growth.

Notably, in the career tab for the teen Sim, you’ll see that they have a daily task to “do homework” after every school day (as you’d expect from school). Though homework for young Sims is not a new addition, it can be new for players who never had teenage Sims.

The homework your teen Sim has to do will be in their personal inventory , as a little blue book. You can select it and click “do homework” and your teen Sim will move to a nearby table to do it.

Based on our gameplay, not doing homework didn’t do anything too dramatic to the Sims’ school performances. As long as your teen Sim is attending class, they’ll progress in their career just fine. However, if you want them to improve their grades faster, they should actively be doing their homework.

Fully Edit Sims in CAS (Easy Sims 4 Cheat!)

In this post, I’m going to share everything you need to know about one of my MOST used cheats in the Sims 4! Normally, when you click on the Sim you’re controlling, you can access CAS (Create-A-Sim) but only to make limited changes. If you want to edit your Sim as if you were creating them from scratch, the cas.fulleditmode cheat is your go-to. This cheat unlocks full customisation options, allowing you to modify everything! Whether you’re playing on Mac, PC, Xbox or other consoles, the instructions in this post apply. Plus, since it’s a base game cheat, it’s free and accessible to every player! 

Without the cheat you can edit your Sim’s clothing, likes and dislikes, and turn on and turn offs. Here’s what you can unlock in CAS using the cas.fulleditmode cheat: 

• Romantic boundaries 
• Body shape and muscle mass

Step 1 – Enable Cheats 

Make the cheat bar appear in the top left hand corner of the screen by pressing:

• Command + Shift + C on PC.
• CTRL + Shift + C on Mac.
• All four triggers on console.

Type in “ testingcheats on ” and press enter to enable the use of cheats. 

Step 2 – Enter the Cheat “cas.fulleditmode” 

Type cas.fulleditmode into the cheat bar and press enter. Note that the cheat bar is not case sensitive.

Step 3 – Click on your Sim to Open cheat options 

Press SHIFT while clicking on any sim in the household to show a variety of cheat options (shown in the image below). If you’re playing on console use the following instructions to open the cheat options: 

• Xbox: press B first and then A while holding B down 
• PlayStation: press O first and then X while still holding O down 

Next, select “Modify in CAS”. Now when you enter CAS you will be able to edit everything about your sims! 

When you’re done making changes in CAS just click on the tick in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to save your changes and return to live mode. 

How to edit work outfit in Sims 4? 

For many careers in the Sims 4, sims will autonomously change into a work uniform before they leave to work and return wearing it. It isn’t one of the categories of outfits that all sims get assigned in CAS, so to edit it you need follow these steps: 

• Enable cheats (step one from earlier in this post) 
• Type sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas into the cheats text box 
• Press enter 

How to unlock everything in CAS in the Sims 4? (including secret and locked items) 

So you want to unlock even more clothes in CAS? Easy! Use this cheat: 

• Type bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement into the cheats text box

Conservationist career cheats – how to become a professional environmentalist fast.

How cool would it be if you could just skip the beginner levels of a conservationist career? If this sounds appealing, then conservationist career cheats are the way to go! Read on to discover how to use them.

what is The Sims 4 conservationist career?

In 2019 The Sims 4: Island Living expansion pack opened the doors to a wonderful new career track – The Conservationist Career. Sims who care about their environment and marine life can turn this passion into a career and choose one of the two branches: The Environmental Manger branch or the Marine Biologist Branch.

Advancing in their career of choice takes time, but also nailing some key skills, such as logic skills, charisma, and fitness. All of this takes time and dedication, and unless patiently ranking up is a part of your storyline, you may want to skip it all and use Conservationist career cheats to save time!

Why do you need conservationist career cheats?

Regardless if your Sim aspires to become the Chief Sustainability Officer or the Master of Marine Affairs, Conservationist career cheats can help them skyrocket in their career branch of choice in no time. The great thing is, you can use cheats not only to help them get promoted (or even demoted if that’s part of your plan) but also to help them learn the key skills faster while letting them rank up more gradually. Now, let’s see how to properly use cheats to achieve your Sims 4 goals!

how to activate cheats?

To start using Conservationist career cheats, you first, have to enable them in your game! This is what you need to do depending on whether you play on PC, Mac, Xbox, or PlayStation:

• If you are playing on a PC or Mac, open the cheat box bar by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C , type testingcheats true and press Enter to confirm. To close the cheat bar, press ESC.
• If you are playing on a console, you can open the cheat dialogue box by simultaneously pressing all bumpers . Type in the same cheat code and confirm your action.

Once the cheats are activated all you’ll need to do to start using Conservationist career cheats is to open the dialogue box using the method explained (without re-typing the testingcheats true), and type one of the cheat codes highlighted in the text below. Now, onto the cheats!

How to use cheats to promote sims?

It’s time for a speedy promotion! To get your Sims promoted, open the cheat box bar, and type  careers.promote   conservationist  and hit Enter. You’ll get a notification that confirms they have been successfully promoted right away! 

The cheat will work regardless of what level your Sim is currently at. The only requirement for it to work is to have your Sim employed as a Conservationist.

However, this cheat won’t take your Sims to the top of the career ladder right away. To reach level 10 in any of the two branches, you will need to use the cheat multiple times. For instance, if your Sim is at level 2 in the Conservationist career, and you want them to get to level 6, you will need to use this cheat 4 times to reach level 6. Or, to go from level 1 to level 10 you’ll need to re-type the cheat code 9 times.

can you use cheats to demote your sims?

The answer is yes, absolutely! Demotion cheats are a great strategy if you think you’ve gone overboard with promotion cheats or simply would like to make your Sim regress in their career for whatever reason. 

To get them demoted, open the cheat box bar, and type  careers.demote   conservationist , and confirm the action. You should get a notification that says your Sim has unfortunately been demoted. This cheat works just like the promotion cheat, and you’ll need to use it a few times if you want a more drastic regression. The lowest point your Sims can hit with this cheat is Level 1. 

how to use cheats to improve the key skills needed for promotions?

If cheating career progress seems too drastic, you can still use cheats to learn skills faster, so that Sims can only focus on other daily promotion tasks. These are the 

Sims who are in the Marine Biologist field will need to master logic and fitness skills, while Sims in the Environmental Manager branch will need to master logic and charisma skills. These are the cheats for the three skills:

• To make them improve logic skills –  stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic #
• To make them improve charisma skills –  stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma #
• To make them improve fitness skills –  stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness #

Replace the ”#” symbol at the end of the cheat with any number from 1-10. For instance, if you want your Sim to progress to level 7 of logic skill type  stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic 7.  The same method applies to the other three cheats. Or, to max out the skill just type  stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic 10.  Easy!
