They think that girls are like burden in their life who only need to take whole life from their parents or husbands and never give.

However, it is not true, girls occupy almost half population of the world so they are half responsible for the existence of life on the earth. Less importance of girl child in the human society is causing suspense of life existence on the earth as where there is no women, no new birth would be. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay 4 (250 words)

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is a government scheme launched by the Prime Minister of India in the month of January in 2015. This programme was launched to make some positive changes in the Indian society in status of girl child. There are many restrictions for the girl child in the Indian society which hinders the proper growth and development of the girl child. This scheme hinders the practice of female foeticide, girl child insecurity, sex discrimination, etc against girl child. People’s mindset for women has been more worse in the modern time than the people of 18 th century”. While launching the programme prime minster said that, Indian people have common belief for girls that they are the property of someone else other than their parents. Parents think that only boys are their property as they have to look after them in the old age however girls have to go another place to care her in-laws.

Such thinking of people of 21 st century about girls is really embarrassing and need to be eradicated from the people’s mind for giving the full rights of girl child from birth.

The condition of girl child was much worse in the last decades as female foeticide was getting practiced to a great extent. Girl children were killed in the mother’s womb through proper detection techniques before birth. This practice was in vogue to reduce the number of girl child as well as avoid the responsibility of a girl child. Haryana was chosen as the best place to launch the scheme as Mahendragarh district in Haryana has the worst sex ratios of girl child in the country (775 girls/1000 boys).

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay 5 (300 words)

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a government scheme launched by the PM Narendra Modi on 22 nd of January on Thursday, at Panipat, Haryana. This scheme has been launched by keeping in mind the drastic condition of girl child in the Indian society. According to the statistics, the ratio of girl child per male child (of age group 0-6 years) was 945/1000 in 1991 whereas it remains only 927/1000 in 2001 and again reduced to 918/1000 in 2011. If we see the census report we see that the ratio of girl child is decreasing continuously per each decade. It is a danger sign related to the possibility of life on the earth. If nothing is applied positively on urgent basis to reduce such type of issues against girls, surely there would be a day without women and new births.

Keeping in mind this bad figure of girl child in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the scheme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. It is a very effective scheme aims to improve the number of girl child, save girl child, eradicate female foeticide, give them proper security and education, personal and professional development, etc all over the country. This scheme has been implemented in 100 selected districts of the country (by the joint initiative of ministry of Human Resource Development and Health and ministry of Women and Child Development) through a national campaign in order to cover all the states and UTs. There are some positive aspect that this scheme would be proved as a great start to remove social issues against girl child. We hope that there would be a day when no girl child would be killed, uneducated, insecure, raped, etc because of socio-economic reasons. Hence, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is aimed to make girls independent both socially and financially by reducing the sex discrimination all over the country.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay 6 (400 words)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a scheme for girls named Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in order to save the girl child and educate the girl child all over the India. The programme was launched on 22 nd of January, Thursday in 2015 at Panipat,. This scheme was launched especially in Haryana as this state has lowest female sex ratio (775 girls/1000 boys) all over the country. It has been effectively implemented in hundred districts across the country to improve the status of girls. 12 districts (Ambala, Kurukshetra, Rewari, Bhiwani, Mahendergarh, Sonepat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Kaithal, Panipat, Karnal, and Yamuna Nagar) have been chosen from the Haryana state itself because of having low child sex ratio.

In order to improve the status of girls and give them importance, Haryana Government celebrates an event named Beti ki Lohri on January 14. The purpose of launching Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is to make girls independent socially and financially using their proper rights and higher education. It helps in improving the awareness among common public and improving the efficiency of welfare services given to women. If we have a sight on latest census report of 2011, we see a continuous decrease in the female child sex ratio (of age group 0-6 years) from last some decades. In 2001, it was 927/1000 whereas in 2011 it remains only 919/1000. There is huge reduction in the number of girls is because of the practice of aborting female fetus after sex determination through modern diagnostic tools in the hospitals. This bad practice came into existence because of the gender discrimination in the society.

And, after birth of a girl child, she has to face another type of discrimination in terms of education, health, nutrition, safety, rights, and other needs of the girl child. We can say that women were dis-empowered instead of being empowered. In order to empowering women and give them their full rights right from their birth government of India has launched this scheme. Empowering women brings all around progress especially in the family and society. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is the way to achieve positive changes in the human negative mindset for girls. This scheme may make a call to people to end the discrimination between sons and daughters and work as a key to end female foeticide. While launching the scheme, PM reminded to the whole medical fraternity that the purpose of medical profession is to save lives and not finish lives.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a social campaign launched by the Indian government in 2015 with the aim of promoting the welfare of girls in the country. The campaign focuses on addressing the issue of declining child sex ratio and promoting the education and empowerment of girls. The slogan “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” translates to “Save the daughter, educate the daughter” and encapsulates the core message of the campaign.

The declining child sex ratio in India is a serious concern that has far-reaching implications for the country’s social and economic development. According to the 2011 Census, the child sex ratio in India was 919 girls for every 1,000 boys, which is significantly below the natural sex ratio of around 950 girls for every 1,000 boys. This skewed sex ratio is a result of deep-rooted social norms and practices that discriminate against girls and favor boys.

One of the main reasons for the declining child sex ratio in India is the preference for sons over daughters. In many parts of the country, sons are seen as the primary caregivers for their parents in old age, while daughters are considered a financial burden due to the dowry system. This preference for sons has led to the practice of sex-selective abortion and female infanticide, which have contributed to the imbalance in the sex ratio.

The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign seeks to address these issues by raising awareness about the importance of girls and promoting their education and empowerment. The campaign aims to change societal attitudes towards girls and promote gender equality in all aspects of life. By empowering girls through education and providing them with opportunities to succeed, the campaign aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society where girls are valued and respected.

One of the key components of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign is the implementation of various government schemes and programs aimed at improving the welfare of girls. These include initiatives such as the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, which provides financial assistance for the education and marriage of girls, and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scholarship scheme, which provides financial support to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In addition to these government schemes, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign also focuses on raising awareness about the importance of girls’ education and empowerment. Through various outreach programs and awareness campaigns, the campaign seeks to change societal attitudes towards girls and promote gender equality. By highlighting the achievements of girls and showcasing their potential, the campaign aims to inspire other girls to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.

The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign has had a significant impact on the lives of girls in India. Since its launch in 2015, the campaign has helped to improve the child sex ratio in many parts of the country and has raised awareness about the importance of girls’ education and empowerment. By promoting gender equality and empowering girls to succeed, the campaign has helped to create a more inclusive and equitable society where girls are valued and respected.

In conclusion, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign is a crucial initiative that seeks to address the issue of declining child sex ratio in India and promote the welfare of girls. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao: Empowering the Girl Child in India

India, the world’s largest democracy, boasts a rich cultural tapestry woven with diverse traditions and practices. However, among the colors and patterns that make up this tapestry, there exists a troubling pattern – the systematic discrimination against the girl child. In response to this issue, the Indian government launched the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) initiative in 2015. This essay delves into the history, objectives, strategies, impact, and future prospects of this ambitious campaign.

Historical Context:

The declining child sex ratio in India, particularly in states like Haryana, Punjab, and some regions of North India, raised concerns about gender-based discrimination and skewed gender ratios. The Census data revealed an alarming decline in the number of girls per 1,000 boys. This pattern was primarily attributed to cultural preferences for male children, gender-based discrimination, female feticide, and infanticide. “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” emerged as a crucial response to these issues, signifying a collective commitment to change the status of the girl child in India.

Objectives:

The “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative has several key objectives:

  • Preventing Gender-Biased Sex Selection: One of the primary aims is to prevent gender-biased sex selection and female feticide by strictly implementing the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, which prohibits sex determination during pregnancy and selective abortion based on the gender of the fetus.
  • Ensuring Survival and Protection: The program is committed to ensuring the survival and protection of the girl child, reducing instances of infanticide, abandonment, and discrimination against them.
  • Promoting Girl Child Education: BBBP aims to promote the education of girls, bridge the gender gap in education, and enable them to lead a life of dignity and independence.
  • Creating an Enabling Environment: The initiative seeks to create an environment where girls can develop their full potential, thrive, and contribute to the nation’s growth. This includes providing opportunities for skill development and personal growth.

Strategies and Implementation: BBBP employs a holistic approach to achieve its objectives, involving several strategies:

  • Awareness Campaigns: The program conducts awareness campaigns at the grassroots level to sensitize communities about the importance of gender equality, the rights of the girl child, and the value of education.
  • Enforcement of Laws: Strict enforcement of laws against gender-biased sex selection, female feticide, and infanticide is a critical aspect of the initiative. The PCPNDT Act is enforced rigorously to prevent sex determination and sex-selective abortion.
  • Incentives: Financial incentives are provided to encourage the birth of girl children and their education. Conditional cash transfers are made to families, which can be used for the girl’s welfare, healthcare, and education.
  • Improving Access to Education: Special emphasis is placed on ensuring that girls have access to quality education. This involves constructing schools, providing scholarships, and facilitating skill development programs. The focus is on reducing the gender gap in literacy and enrollment.
  • Community Engagement: Engaging communities and local stakeholders is crucial to drive change at the grassroots level. The initiative encourages Panchayati Raj Institutions and local self-governance bodies to take an active role in promoting gender equality and girls’ education.
  • Gender Sensitization: Gender sensitization programs are conducted to change traditional attitudes and biases against the girl child. These programs are held in schools, colleges, and communities to raise awareness about gender issues.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: The scheme establishes District and State Level Committees to monitor and evaluate its implementation, ensuring accountability and transparency.

Since its launch, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” has made significant strides in improving the child sex ratio in various states. Haryana, which previously had one of the lowest sex ratios in the country, witnessed notable improvement due to the program’s focused efforts. Awareness campaigns played a pivotal role in changing mindsets and discouraging practices like female feticide.

Nevertheless, challenges persist, as deeply ingrained cultural norms and practices continue to work against the program’s objectives. The impact of the initiative can vary significantly across states, with some regions showing more substantial progress than others.

Future Prospects:

“Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” is not just a government initiative; it is a symbol of India’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. It recognizes the importance of educating and empowering girls, not only for their benefit but also for the prosperity and progress of the nation. While challenges remain, the program’s impact is undeniable, and it serves as a model for similar initiatives worldwide.

In conclusion, “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” is a critical step towards creating a more equitable and inclusive society in India. Its future prospects depend on sustained efforts and a multi-pronged approach. To further its impact, the following actions can be considered:

  • Strengthening Enforcement: Ensuring the strict enforcement of laws against gender-biased sex selection and female feticide is critical. This requires continuous monitoring and stricter penalties for violators.
  • Community Mobilization: Greater community engagement is needed to change deep-rooted attitudes and practices. Grassroots campaigns and involvement of local leaders can make a significant difference.

This comprehensive essay delves into the scheme’s historical background, objectives, reasons for its implementation, the strategies employed, challenges faced, and its impact on the empowerment of girls in India.

Aim of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme:

Schemes and Strategies:

The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign is a literal translation of the phrase, “Save the girl child, educate the girl child.” This campaign was launched on 22nd January 2015 by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi.

This campaign had an initial funding of a hundred crore rupees. It focuses mainly on the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Bihar, and Delhi.

The campaign attempts to put into work the promises of the Prime Minister to end female infanticide. The campaign is a national initiative jointly run by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Education.

Declining sex ratio:

As of the 2001 census of the population of India, the sex ratio of children aged from 0 to 6 years was 927 girls per 1000 boys. However, the 2011 census saw a drop in this sex ratio. It dropped to 918 girls per 1000 boys. This came up as a big national concern, and hence different campaigns to increase and balance the sex ratio was taken up.

Reasons for the initiative:

The objective of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyaan is to increase the sex ratio and balance it. For that, the Government needs to reduce female infanticide and provide increased educational opportunities for women and ensure proper implementation.

There are several reasons for the massive rate of female infanticide in our country. Gender Discrimination And Sexism: Many people in India still hold the orthodox view of how men are the flag bearers of the family name. Families, especially in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, are highly discriminative regarding the gender of a baby. Men often tend to kill the child if it is born a girl, simply because the girl child is like a burden.

Dowry: Though dowry is not legal anymore, some form or other still exists in Indian society. People coming from poor backgrounds often consider the girl to be a burden because of the high rate of compulsive dowry associated with it. No Education: It is also considered by many people belonging to a rural background that a girl child does not deserve proper education. It is only the right of the boy to receive an education and earn for the family.

Strategies Used For The Effective Implementation:

Crafting a campaign by the Government is not the main objective. The most crucial part is the implementation. It is the goal of the nation as a whole to increase and stabilize the sex ratio, but the question is how it is to be done.

Some of the strategies to be used are:

Spreading Awareness: The people need to be educated regarding the matter. They need to understand how this discrimination is not only harmful but is illegal. Gender Critical districts: The focus of the campaign should be on the gender-critical districts and cities to be more efficient and detailed. It is not quite known how effective the campaign has proved to be, but it is no doubt an essential one.

Short Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao 150 Words in English

Short Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is usually given to classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a campaign initiated in 2015 by the Prime Minister of India. This campaign was launched to decrease the female infanticide cases in India and create increased educational opportunities for girls.

There are several reasons for the decreasing sex ratio in India. Gender discrimination is the foremost among all the reasons. Here in India, girls are equivalent to a burden. They are not the bearers of the family name and hence are just a burden on the father’s shoulders.

Though dowry is rendered illegal already, some form or the other of it exists in this society. Hence, the fathers of the girl child consider the birth of a girl to be a burden for the future.

There are several strategies that need to be included in the implementation of the project. The campaign is focused on the gender-critical states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and Delhi. It is not known how effective the campaign is, but it is a very important one to revive the sex ratio and save the nation’s girl children.

Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Important Points : Introduction - Girls of Indian Society - Falling number of Girls in the Society - Features of the scheme - Implementation - Conclusion.

'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' is a special scheme of the Government of India. Its goal is to increase awareness about welfare services related to women. Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi launched this program on 22nd January 2015. It was started from Panipat, Haryana.

Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao means saving girls and educating them completely. This scheme was started by the Indian government. The objective of this scheme is to increase the efficiency of welfare work for girls and women in Indian society as well as generate awareness among the people. An initial capital of several crores was required for this scheme. This scheme was started according to the census data of the year 2001, under which the sex ratio between 0 and 6 years in our country was 930 girls for every 1000 boys. After this, it saw a further decline in 2011 and now the figure had reached 915 girls per 1000 boys. In 2012, India was ranked 41st out of 195 countries worldwide by UNICEF. For this reason, awareness of people towards the safety of women and girls has become necessary in India today.

The Prime Minister has appealed to end evils like female feoticide. According to the 2011 census, the sex ratio in India is 943. It has gone downhill fast. We need to pay attention to this issue. The government also aims to spend money on the safety of women in big cities. All citizens are invited to make suggestions for the betterment of this programme.

A government social scheme named Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao has been launched by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to draw attention to the discrimination and gender inequality against girls in the Indian society. This scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on the date 22 January 2015, Wednesday, in Panipat, Haryana. This scheme has been made to make people aware about the importance of girls in the society. This scheme has been started to completely eliminate female feticide and to save the life of girls. This scheme will work to increase awareness among the common people and in this it has been asked to give status to the girl just like the boy. All girls and women have been asked to be educated responsibly.

Along with empowering little girls in the country, an important scheme was started to address the issue of proportion of the declining number of girls in the society. Along with bringing a positive change in the ideology of the people towards girls, this scheme tells the importance of girls in the Indian society. Today in Indian society the mentality of people towards girls has become very cruel. Many people believe that girls are a burden first for the family and then for their husbands.

Initially a fund of Rs 100 crore has been given for this scheme. The scheme also aims at gender equality. Women's education will also be encouraged. Attention will be given to the health of girls and women. More and more government and private hospitals will be opened for women. Women-Safety Cells have been set up.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a government scheme started by the Prime Minister of India. In Indian society many restrictions are imposed on little girls which has become a hindrance in their proper growth and development. This scheme will prevent atrocities, insecurities, etc. against little girls. It is a general belief of Indian people that girls are alien wealth rather than their parents. Parents think that boys are their own who will take care of them in old age while girls go to other homes to serve their in-laws. The condition of young girls had worsened in the last decade as female feticide was spreading in a big way.

To encourage in this direction, the government has taken several steps and announced awards. Girls who will stand as role models for the society will be rewarded. Also the best parents/guardians will be respected. Therefore, the government wants everyone's support to make this program a success.

Half of the population of our country is women. The country cannot progress without their development. So now is the time when we should start taking proper care of our girls and women. They should have equal status in the society. They deserve our respect. The younger generation should take the responsibility of this on their shoulders. We hope that this program will get a positive response and will be successful.

Long and Short Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech in English

The basic rights of every human being are about human rights like the right to equality, right to life, right to education, and right to freedom. And every individual has the right to demand justice if they are not allowed to exercise these rights. Every human being can claim these rights as it applies from birth till death. Unfortunately, half of the gender that is the girl are robbed of this right, they are killed before their birth, and those who live are not allowed an education and to live freely. The Prime Minister has declared an initiative to tackle this issue, and that is the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ step.

In this article, the different ways to deliver a Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech In English. It can be a Long or a Short Speech On Beti Bachao Beti Padhao In English.

Long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech

This format of a long 500-word speech is helpful for students in grades 8-12 to speak about such an important topic in detail.

Good Morning everyone, respected Principal, Teachers and my dear friends I am Xyz (mention your name) and I am here today to speak about an important topic like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. I am certain we have all heard of this phrase more often than once in recent years. Let’s understand the reason behind the start of this initiative, the importance and it being the need of the hour.

India is a young nation, and inevitably it holds the highest population of youth and therefore minds and manpower for becoming a superpower. The potential of our country is still untapped. Men and Women constitute this young demographic who can contribute a great deal to the rise of our economy. And yet half of this population is women or girls even though deserving of every right as a man does not reach this stage of sharing the work and taking part in the contribution to the country.

The problem is deep-rooted, and women have been through unimaginable suffering for eons now. Earlier, the primary goal for girls of our nation was to get ready for marriage, and they had to learn and expertise in the household chores and nothing outside the four walls of their homes. The problem here is, in India, with marriage, a huge amount of dowry is also to be given at the time of the wedding to ensure the well-being of the couple and for their welfare.

Many families from poorer regions and even in the rural and urban areas could not afford to arrange for the dowry. So they consider that if a girl is born, and she is unwed due to lack of dowry, it is humiliating. And they kill the child once they are aware of the gender being a girl. Sometimes even before their birth, they are subjected to death. Female infanticide and the killing of a girl child is heinous crime.

And if they don’t manage to kill the girl child, they are subjected to an even more difficult life. They do not know what a childhood should be like. They only remain in the houses, learning to cook, wash, and take care of other members.

And even before the legal age of 18, they are married and have to deal with sexual violence, harassment, and physical assaults. It is truly heartbreaking to see this state of a girl in a country like ours who values the land as a motherland and worships so many goddesses.

The solution to this problem, as firmly stated by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi is exercising the basic right of education. When a girl is educated, she can earn for the family, stand on her own two feet and live an independent life.

When she is educated, she is aware of her rights and her place in society. She will no longer tolerate any sort of violence and there will be a sense of marriage equality, so there is no need for dowry. She can also be a working woman and a working mother and raise a family.

And hence the initiative ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ which means Save the girl by educating them. Now more than ever, this needs to be implemented and someone very rightly said, when you educate a man, a man is educated and when you educate a woman an entire generation is educated.

Short Speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in English

This type of short speech of 250-words is helpful for students in grades 4-7 to deliver enough information using simple language for them to understand.

Good morning everyone, I am Abc (mention your name) here today to speak on an important topic that is Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. It is evident from the news if you are keeping tabs about our nation that girls are excelling in every department. They are scoring the highest ranks in the countrywide examinations like medical and engineering entrance, civil services, in the sports world girls are number one and bringing Olympic medals.

And they are even in decision-making positions like CEO of Head Of Department. All this goes to show that once given a chance they will outgrow even the men.

And even with this knowledge, some girls are deprived of this opportunity and considered unworthy just because of their gender.

This unfair treatment is an ongoing injustice the society has subscribed to since many years ago. Girls are killed due to fear of dowry, and unfortunately, if they live their lives become worse than animals with no education and safety or security. Society and Indian parents must realize that the world has moved on, and they should too, from this age-old prejudice that girls are only fit for marriage. Because that is not the truth.

The Prime Minister of our country has started this step of protecting and educating the girls as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to attempt to fight against these untrue norms. We must be aware that when a woman is educated, the generations to come after her are bound to be independent and educated too. And in this way, the country will move ahead in the right direction with greater force.

Speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Honourable Sir, Greetings, Madam, and my dear friends. Because we've all met here to celebrate this event, I’d like to speak about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojna today. The Modi government's security and protection of girls in the country is the focus of this program. This initiative was an urgent requirement of the time since development is impossible without the saving and empowerment of the country's women. Because women account for half of the country's population, they hold half of the country's power. As a result, they require equal access to resources, facilities, and opportunities to contribute to India's development. This scheme is about the protection and better education of girls. The Indian government has launched a new initiative called Sukanya Samrudhi Yojna to help this drive.

This initiative involves reducing the responsibilities of parents at a young age. Because, under this scheme, parents have to deposit a certain amount of money in the bank each month to receive benefits in the future of their girl child, whether for education or marriage. As a beti-padhao plan, the government's ambitious approach will result in a good change in the situation of women in India. The government has begun it with very good objectives, strategies, and action plans to ensure its success.

Its goal is to preserve Dalit girls' lives by providing them with higher education so that they can be empowered and take part in all aspects of society. About 100 districts (those with low CSR) have been chosen for the first necessary action, according to this plan. This program aims to increase the well-being of girls by raising awareness about gender discrimination in the workplace. The proposal of Indian Rupees was passed in large numbers for protecting women in the country's metropolitan and big towns. Support for this scheme will not solve the girl's dilemma; it will require the support of all Indian residents. Rules and laws aimed at reducing crimes against girls should be strictly followed, and those who violate them should be punished.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech in 150 words

Good morning,

The government of India has launched a combined campaign called 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.' This scheme was jointly launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Human Resource Development, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This scheme applies to all the states of India and its union territories. Preventing female infanticide, developing new schemes, and working together to ensure that every girl child in our country is secure and protected are the three fundamental objectives of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. This program also aims to ensure that every girl child receives a good education.

It is one of India's most well-known campaigns. It is necessary to look for the scheme's benefits. Our country's girl children will benefit from this program. Balanced sex ratios, bringing girl child rights to the forefront, and achieving access to education are just a few of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao's key impacts.

10 Line Speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in English

This is a way of helping the students in grades 1-3 the meaning and importance of this initiative in ten simple sentences.

It is a sad reality that around the world, a girl child is not treated equally as a boy child.

The freedom of life and education and other basic rights is only exclusively exercised for boys and not girls.

This is not the enforced law, but it has, unfortunately, become the norm and no one even bothers to change this.

Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has challenged this norm by starting an initiative of protecting the girl child by enlightening them of their rights through education.

This major initiative is called ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.

When one-half of the population is educated, the country sees tremendous growth rather rapidly than usual.

This initiative is not limited, it applies to girls of all the states and union territories in India.

This is certainly a step in the right direction to protect the girls who will otherwise be subjected to other heinous crimes like sexual and physical assault, eve-teasing, and harassment.

Education helps everyone on tangible grounds by making women financially and emotionally independent.

This step has interrupted the toxic way that the social function and challenged everyone to be introspective, including parents of girls, and raised awareness among them.

Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao for all Class in 100 to 500 Words in English

Essay on beti bachao beti padhao in english.

Introduction

In today’s time when there is a huge number of crimes and discrimination increasing against women daily, this scheme is more important than ever. This initiative, launched by the Indian government in 2015, aims to eliminate discrimination against girls from society and promote their overall growth with the main focus on their educational development. In this essay, we will explore the significance of this scheme and how it has been improving the lives of millions of young girls all over India. So let’s discuss the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme in detail in English!

What is Beti Bachao Beti Padhao?

The scheme was launched in 2015 by Respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the declining child-sex ratio and empower girl children through education. Preventing female feticide, educating the girl child, and creating an enabling environment for the development of girls are the three main goals of this scheme.

The scheme has three components: # Creating awareness and ensuring enforcement of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC&PNDT) Act # Improving Girls’ Education # Empowering Women and Girl Children The main focus of this scheme is to make society better for girls and reduce discrimination against them with the help of education and awareness. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme aims to create a society where every child, regardless of gender, has access to education, healthcare, and equal opportunities.

The Need for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme

This Scheme is aimed at promoting the growth of girl children, educating them, and empowering them by ensuring their safety. The need for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme arises from the fact that despite many years of progress, gender inequality and discrimination against women remain a serious problem in India. Women are often discriminated against from birth, and face numerous challenges such as domestic violence, harassment, bullying, and mentally tortured in their own homes, throughout their lives which have hindered their growth by a huge margin. Women have less access to education as there are still a lot of people who think that educating girls is not worth it. Women are often seen as a burden to families by a lot of people, no matter how much we all say that there is no discrimination against women but it is still there and needs to be stopped as efforts of both men and women are required in the development of a country as a whole. The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme is an important step that addresses the issue of gender inequality. By saving and promoting the education of girl children, this scheme will create a more healthy and better society in which girl children can grow and have opportunities just as many as boys have. The third reason for the need for this scheme is the low level of education among girls in our country. According to UNESCO, only about two-thirds of India’s women are literate as compared to nearly four-fifths of men.

How can we support Beti Bachao Beti Padhao?

As there is a saying that if we want to change society first we must change ourselves then the society will change itself. So keeping that in mind We should all understand the value of promoting girls’ growth, and help our family members understand it too. We as a society must not tolerate any discrimination that is happening around us, we should stand against it. We should educate all the people about respecting a girl as their sister instead of making them uncomfortable around us. If we all improve ourselves in such a way that all the girls, even if they are strangers must feel safe and comfortable in our company. This will act as fertilizer to this scheme and then the government will be able to carry out this scheme’s main objective with the least obstacles So these are the ways in which we can support this scheme as a society. Now let’s discuss the formal ways as individuals in which we can support this scheme. By donating to the organizations that are working on implementing this program. These organisations work on the ground level to create a change in local communities. They provide education and awareness-raising activities, as well as support services for girls and women. By working with schools and other institutions to ensure that they are implementing gender-sensitive policies and practices

How Scheme will Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme be implemented?

It will be executed in different phases where the first phase will be: Focusing on those districts where the child sex ratio is high and the female literacy rate is low. In the second phase, this scheme will expand to cover all the remaining districts. This scheme has four components : 1st #Creating Awareness and making sure that laws are being implemented for the protection of women’s and child’s rights. 2nd #Improving girl-child ratios through interventions at pre-natal, neo-natal, and post-natal stages 3rd #Ensuring education and empowerment of girls 4th #Empowering women through economic security.

Following are some highlights of The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme :

The scheme will mainly focus on improving education and health outcomes for girls. Changing the Norms, and attitudes of society towards girls for the better and also aiming to eliminate the discrimination against them. This will be implemented on the National level, state, and district levels. At the National level, the Ministry of Women and child development will lead this scheme. The state government will hold the responsibility of ensuring that the scheme is implemented in their jurisdictions. Implementing it on the base level will be the responsibility of the district-level authorities. The mass media campaign will be launched to reach out to people across the country. The campaign will use various channels such as television, radio, newspapers, and social media to spread awareness about the scheme

What are the Benefits of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme scheme?

This scheme has so many benefits and a lot of women’s lives have already been improved a lot, all thanks to this admirable step of the government. 1) This will help girls get better education which will help them build their careers and make them self-dependent. 2) The scheme will help reduce the gender gap in India by empowering girls and women. 3) It also aims to improve and make it easier for girls to have access to better health facilities. 4) This scheme will create a better society if implemented well in all aspects, this will create a society where girls can feel safe, and non-discriminated and have access to all the opportunities equal to that of men.

It is clear how much this scheme is needed to make society and ultimately our nation a better place for women to live in. So It is all up to us and the government to work together to make sure this scheme is implemented perfectly without corruption and loopholes in it to exploit. This scheme if implemented successfully, then it will help the country to develop at a rapid rate as the involvement of men and women in the country’s growth will be 100%

Paragraph on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao 200 Words

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is a national campaign which has gained much popularity on International level today. The aim of this campaign is to equalize the Child Sex Ratio , as there is a considerable difference between girl and boy child numbers. The Indian PM, Mr Narendra Modi started this campaign which inspired several people especially the youth who joined hands and are supporting the mission with a lot of enthusiasm and fervour.

Through story dramatization, public is getting sensitized towards these critical social issues, such as sex-selective abortion, crime against women, gender inequality, social discrimination between boy and girl child, etc. Different groups, NGOs, college students, etc have come together to highlight the problems related to the girl child and various difficulties she undergoes throughout her life. Paragraph on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao 300 Words

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign was basically started to promote the safety of girl child. There are several people who still discriminate between a girl and a boy child. But the fact is that a girl child is no less than a boy. In the present times, girls in fact are bringing a lot of accolades to its family and nation as a whole in every field including sports, politics, entertainment, corporate world, wrestling, etc.

But people still have that old school mentality that girls are rather a liability and thus, various people started getting sex of the child determined before its birth and aborting the girl child in the womb itself. This practice is more prevalent in rural areas and villages, urban places are not absolutely unaffected though. The primary reason behind these ill-practices is due to the increase in the crime against women.

Girls are never taught to be independent and fight for their rights. Since childhood, they are taught to make compromises; first for their brother and father when they are young, compromise for husband, in-laws, once they get married and later compromise for son and the family, etc. This trend makes the girls vulnerable and prone to crimes. They don’t gain courage to express their will and fight for their rights. In order to make the mission BBBP successful, we must first teach the existing girls how to be strong and self-willed and more importantly determined in order to take decisions of their own lives.

Paragraph on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao 400 Words

Since several eras, girls have been treated as a domestic slave and are given food to eat, clothes to wear and house to live in only by their male counterparts, but she has got no rights to speak in the family matter or to express herself for that matter. Important decisions are taken without her consent, which could be as important as deciding not to bring the girl child into this world. Lots of people who have more than one daughter live in a pitiable condition; society start advising them to have a baby boy as quickly as possible because only sons can look after them.

The current PM of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, in order to change this mentality of people started the mission in favour of girl child called ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP)’. He even made Sakshi Malik, the brand ambassador of this campaign, who won the Bronze Medal in the 2016 Olympics. Several other girls like Sakshi Malik have earned accolades for the nation such as P V Sindhu, Mithali Raj, Saina Nehwal and Saniya Mirza, to name a few.

For infusing self confidence in girls, it is important that they are aware of their rights and right to education is one of the most important rights which a girl child should have equal access to. Population and poverty are other reasons why lots of parents are forced to stop the education of girl child if they have several kids. But the parents must understand that until and unless they motivate their daughters to study further, they won’t be able to make them mentally able and stronger. Through the campaign BBBP, the entire nation is trying to bring equality between the genders.

This gesture was highly appreciated and followed by several people from across the world.

Women Empowerment

BBBP is run in favour of women and focuses on the empowerment and development of women. The diminishing ratio of girls in the Child Sex Ratio (CSR) is the major pointer of women disempowerment. CSR includes both, pre-birth inequality marked through gender preferred sex selection and post birth inequality against girl child. Social discrimination against girls and easy affordability and misuse of the diagnostic equipments have resulted greatly into female child foeticide and ultimately decreasing the ratio of girls in CSR.

BBBP mission emphasizes on safeguarding and strengthening the rights of women. People are becoming more sensitised and several girls of India are bringing accolades to the nation and becoming popular on International level. Thus, people should stop discriminating between the girl and the boy child and support both the genders equally.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a campaign launched by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji on the 22nd of January 2015. It was launched for the first time in Panipat, Haryana. The sex ratio of Haryana was 871 girls in 1000 boys in the year 2014. So, the program was launched in this state.

Short and Long Paragraphs on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Paragraph 1 – 100 words.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was a campaign launched in the year 2015 on the 22nd of January. It was Haryana where the campaign was launched. The main motive of the campaign was to protect the girl child and to educate her. Girl child abuse is very common in our nation and to reduce such cases the campaign was launched.

Gender biases can be easily seen in our society. Girls are not less than boys in any terms; still, we have to prove this every time. It’s a matter of shame that people need a daughter-in-law for their son, but they do not need a girl as their child.

Paragraph 2 – 120 Words

The killing of a girl child is the main reason behind this campaign. Girls are always treated as inferior to boys in our society. It is just a mindset not reality because girls are as same as boys. Still, many of us kill girls either in their womb or just after their birth. When a boy is born it is a matter of celebration and when it is a girl, it is always a choice either the parents want to keep her or throw her into the dustbin.

To stop this kind of femicide our government started a program naming Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan in the state of Haryana. Haryana has been marked with the lowest sex ratio of girls and boys. The main motive of this campaign is to protect girls and educate them.

Paragraph 3 – 150 Words

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a campaign by our Government to save girl child and to educate them. Girls are always considered inferior to boys in our society, although there is no field where girls have not reached; still, they are not treated well.

There were many taboos in our Indian society before independence. Although the Britishers ruled us, they removed many taboos like Sati, Untouchability, etc. and the killing of a girl child, was also one of the taboos of that era, but it can be still seen in our society. A corner of our newspaper always holds news of girl child in a dustbin or on a roadside.

To overcome such issues and educate girls the campaign was launched, by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, in the year 2015. Either space or navy, girls are everywhere. So, stop this crime and educate your daughter.

Paragraph 4 – 200 Words

It was Mr. Narendra Modi who launched the campaign Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. It was launched on the 22nd of January 2015. It is run by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Health and Family Welfare and Human Resource Development. The three ministries together run this program.

It was launched in Panipat, Haryana for the first time. Haryana has the lowest girl child sex ratio, so the program was launched in this state. The aim of this campaign is to increase the ratio of girls per boy all over the nation and to educate them.

Girls are treated as a burden in many families and sometimes they are killed before their birth. They are deprived of education, as people think it is of no use. It is also dowry, one of the major reasons behind killing girls. Although the government has made certain rules to stop dowry, still many cases can be seen across the nation.

Detecting the sex of babies in the womb is illegal. This rule was made to save girl child because most of the girls were killed within the womb. Due to these major steps, many girls were saved and this Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign was another to save girls and educate them. The government has planned various schemes for free education of girls. Education is very necessary for today’s life and educates your girl and makes her able to stand for herself.

Paragraph 5 – 250 Words

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a campaign that was launched in the year 2015, in the state of Haryana. It was launched to manage the gender gap in India. India is very well known for its rich cultural and social heritage. Still, there are certain cultures like sati, untouchability, the killing of a girl child, etc. for ages. Although they were prohibited by the British, there are some still alive.

The killing of a girl child is very common in India. Here girls are considered inferior just because of their gender. Generally, they get married and leave their parents’ home. So, people think it’s a waste of educating them. It is also dowry, another reason behind killing girls. Sometimes, it is their body structure, that they are considered weak and inferior to boys in terms of power.

Girls are not less than boys. They can do anything and everything; either it was Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla or Mother Teresa. Similarly, there are thousands of names that prove that girls are not less than boys in any terms.

The difference is biological and both of them bear different qualities. We cannot discriminate on the basis of certain qualities. If boys have more muscular power, then girls have the power of tolerance. Similarly, there are many factors that prove that both are necessary for society and both (boys & girls) are two beautiful creations of God.

To make people aware and give girls equal rights, our government started the campaign naming Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The main motive of this campaign is to save girls and to educate them. Education is one of the basic human rights and it helps us in many ways. An educated person has opportunities to stand on their own. So, educate girls and let our nation progress.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay

In this Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay , describes detailed information related to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.

The Modi government launched Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign in the year 2015 intending to reduce the sex ratio of daughters, also to protecting girls and educating them in the country.

So that more and more people pay attention to the education of the daughters and give equal importance to the daughters in society as they give to the boys.

In this article  Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao , we had provided the several essays in different word limits, which you can use as per your need:

Essay on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana in 500 words

The graph of terrible crimes like female feticide, rape, gang rape is continuously increasing in the society.

The news of such crimes is seen on the TV or read in the newspaper, which is putting a black mark on Indian culture and dignity, also reducing the importance of Indian tradition!

The Modi government in India started this scheme on 22 January 2015 in Mahendergarh district of Haryana, intending to improve the frivolous mindset of girls and give them a respected place in society by educating them.

More and more people in the society will pay attention to the education and safety of daughters, only then Indian society will become a civilized and educated society.

When daughters are given a good education , it not only creates a good future for them, it also has an impact on the entire family, because every family has the reins of the woman.

On the other hand, if an educated housewife takes care of the family, rules of that family are very different, along with that an educated woman handles the family with great understanding and intelligence, and she also helps her family to become financially strong.

At the same time, society is formed by combining many families, thus the education of girls creates a decent and educated society.

Women are also half the population, which means that half of the country’s population are women, but the embarrassment is that even today in the 21st century when our country is technically and economically strong, but still the situation of girls in India is very bad.

Many such narrow-minded people in the society kill daughters before birth, then many of the superstitions burn the daughters alive or the girls are cruelly thrown in the thorny bushes.

At the same time, if you look at the figures of the last few years, the number of female feticides is continuously increasing, while many rules and regulations have been passed by the government to prevent this crime.

A report was presented by UNICEF in 2012 on the sex ratio of daughters in which India ranked 41st among 195 countries. Because of this, the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme was started to make people aware of it.

Let us tell you that there are many states in our India, where the number of daughters is very less, in many rural areas even today the daughters are confined only to the kitchen, they are kept in confinement in the four walls and ‘No exit’ is allowed.

Therefore, intending to spread awareness about this, the Modi government launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.

Because if society does not know about it, then the day is not far when the number of daughters in society will become lesser and lesser.

At present, many changes have also been observed in the society through Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.

The people of rural areas of the country are also moving forward to educate their daughters and in the society also the positive thinking of daughters is developing.

With this, the standard of living of girls has also improved to a great extent.

beti bachao beti padhao essay in english

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Essay in English 1000 words:

In the 21st century, where today our country has grown so much economically and technically and is constantly touching new heights, on the other hand, the sex ratio of girls in the country is steadily decreasing and heinous Crimes on daughters like raped, gang-raped are on the rise.

Even today the situation is that girls are beginning to feel uncomfortable and insecure.

Taking this seriously, the Modi government started the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme in India on January 22, 2015 .

With the main objective of the limitation the female feticide , improving the condition of daughters in society and educating them in society.

Also to given proper status for the daughters, to remove inequality in the society between daughter and son, to ensure the safety of girls, to make daughters self-confident and self-dependent, also to improve the quality of her life.

Under this scheme, apart from providing financial assistance to the daughters, various facilities have also been provided so that the daughters can become empowered in the society, they can get equal status as men and they can become self-reliant .

Under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, financial assistance is being provided to the daughters till the completion of their education , besides financial assistance is also being provided for daughters’ weddings .

Apart from this, provision has also been made to give scholarship to daughters.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme has been started from the big cities of the country to the small villages, towns and tehsils and panchayat levels, so that more and more people can become aware of the safety and education of daughters.

The special thing about this scheme is that the state governments are also giving their contribution to this state by increasing their contribution so that the narrow thinking of the society towards daughters can be changed.

At the same time, according to a report in 2011, there has been a steady decline in the number of girls between the age group of 0 and 6 years in the last few years.

Educate Girls

Let us tell you that in the year 2001, the number of girls per 1 thousand boys was 927 while in 2011 there were only 919 girls per 1 thousand boys.

At the same time, Haryana district of India was far behind in terms of sex ratio of girls, here only 775 girls were left out of 1 thousand boys.

The main reason is female feticide, increasing population, dowry system, lack of education and social insecurity.

The Modi government started this scheme in 2015 from Haryana district .

Let us tell you that initially this scheme was implemented effectively in 100 districts of the country, then gradually the scheme was introduced in all the states, while changes were also seen from this scheme.

In many backward states of India, where the situation was very bad for women, there was a lot of improvement after the Modi government’s plan in those districts.

In many states, people have also come forward to educate daughters .

This campaign spread awareness in the society to a large extent about the save the girl child and their education.

The predicament of daughters in the society and the continuously declining sex ratio is proof of the narrow mindset of the people of the society.

The result of a sense of conflict towards daughter-son in the society, heinous crimes like female feticide, rape is increasing.
