Students who have earned at least 24 credits and have a 2.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0 will be evaluated based on their college credentials. Students with fewer than 24 credits will be evaluated based on their high school record in conjunction with their college credentials.

Students should apply by September 15 for spring admission, and by February 1 for fall admission.

In addition to completing the application, students must provide the following:

• Transcripts from all previous colleges attended
• All official high school transcripts
• If the student is a GED holder, photocopies of the GED scores and diploma must be sent to UAPC along with all high school transcripts 

International students must also provide the following:

•  Photocopies of secondary school documents/transcripts, mark sheets and/or diploma

•  Translations of all foreign-language documents

•  A copy of the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Duolingo if applicable

All courses completed at accredited institutions will be accepted for transfer at John Jay.  Students will be given credit for courses in which they earned grades of C or better and for courses taken at CUNY colleges in which they earned any passing grade. 

Up to 45 credits from external, non-college sources, such as law enforcement or fire academies, military, or standardized tests. (See  Credit for Prior Learning )

All courses completed at an accredited institution will be accepted for transfer at John Jay.  Students will be given credit for courses in which they earned grades of C or better. For courses taken at CUNY colleges, students will be given credit for courses in which they earned grade of D- or better.
